Northamptonshire Sands is reliant on donations and fundraising in order to provide support to bereaved parents in the area. The group is run by volunteers who freely give of their time supporting parents, running the group and organising fundraising events.

As we have previously announced we have some major projects that we would like to see namely:

The refurbishment and maintenance of the bereavement rooms at Northampton and Kettering Hospitals.

A dedicated Sands memorial garden at the Counties Crematorium, Milton Malsor where everyone is welcome to go in an area of peace and quiet.

We also want to continue to maintain cover on our dedicated mobile phone and to  provide information leaflets to be distributed not just to  local hospitals but all feeder hospitals i.e. Oxford, Nottingham etc.

We supply Northamptonshire Sands memory boxes to Northampton and Kettering Hospitals and knowing how warmly these are accepted we hope that we can continue to supply these.
